Tennis and Golf are great activities for GLB soon to be Breezes Rio Bueno. If things stay as they are, There is golf and tennis instruction (very much above average) for a resort. My wife and I were there from January 17th thru 24th and she is a very active tennis player and I a recent convert from tennis to golf following some knee surgery about 5 years ago. Each sport has their own resident pro, Mike for tennis and Oscar for golf. Both are wonderful people and will work with you to help improve your game, regardless of current level. In addition, there is usually a guest pro that week. Often they are great finds, Norma was the best guest tennis pro I can recall and recently during mid January Dave has been a golf pro who really earns his week. He has given me great tips for the last three years and helped me improve my handicap.

The course is a par 3 with one par 4 hole and a possible par 5 if you play it from a recently installed new tee box. Living in Connecticut where snow covers the courses for much of the winter, this is all I need to spend an enjoyable morning before the A/N activities. As a previous reader has said golf clubs are available, but the will charge you 15 bucks each round. Tennis racquets are available, and have been free, although grip and head sizes may be limited. Again, I would check as this property becomes a Breezes. Bring some balls, some tees and a glove as these are very expensive if purchased at the resort. If you are a beginner, you will loose some into the water hazards especially on the second and 5th holes. No problem mon as you will likely be hitting them the following year as range balls.

Enjoy both the golf and tennis, do either early in the morning to avoid the heat and still have most of the day for fun and adult beverages.

Say hello to Mike and Oscar from Steve and Terry, when you meet them. They are two of Braco's finest.
