We are both turning 50 next year and are trying to take up golf and/or tennis as couple activities for the more "senior" years ahead.
I have played golf 4-5 per year for many years, but have never broken 100, so I am at best past the beginner's stage, but a major project still. I am at about the same stage tennis-wise.
My wife has NEVER played either golf or tennis.
We are going to Braco for the last two weeks of February and thought this could be the perfect opportunity to get started and the perfect complement for the many other good reasons why we are going to Braco (our second visit, we went last year but did not check out the golf/tennis facilities).
We have the following questions about the golf facilities at Braco (note that we do not plan to try out other courses this year, we are very tired and our game plan is to stay on teh Braco rpemises teh whole 2 weeks):
1) We understand the Braco golf facility is a 9-hole, is it a Par 3 or does it have longer holes?
2) Is instruction available?
3) Is it worth bringing our clubs (or some of them) or do they lend/rent clubs? If yes, are the rentals decent?
4)
Are instructor and tee times hard to get or you can pretty much walk on?
Are most players serious and subject to get irritated by beginners on the course?
We have the following questions about the tennis facilities at Braco:
5) We know that instruction is available, having seen a coach there last year.
6)
Is it worth bringing our racquet or do they lend/rent racquets? If yes, are the rentals decent?
If anyone can help with any of the above questions, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
